
Dr. Jungbluth completed his doctoral study in clinical psychology at the University of Denver, his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital, and post-doctoral fellowships at the Seattle Children’s Hospital and UW Department of Psychology.
Dr. Jungbluth’s clinical work is predominantly behavioral and cognitive-behavioral, building on the strengths and values of individuals and families to help them achieve the lives they want.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Jungbluth holds several other roles. At the Seattle Children’s Hospital he works to develop, test, and implement brief behavioral treatments for youth seen in integrated care settings around the state. Through the Harborview Medical Center, Dr. Jungbluth helps lead a statewide training initiative known as “CBT+” that trains hundreds of public mental health clinicians each year, in addition to supporting their supervisors and organizations in making evidence-based practices available to their communities. Dr. Jungbluth provides training and consultation to community- and school-based professionals on the treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and behavior problems. He collaborates with colleagues at the University of Washington to research implementation strategies for evidence-based treatments such as Trauma-Focused CBT across Washington and internationally. He participates in NIH-funded research at the University of Washington SMART Center where he has developed a school-based intervention for students impacted by traumatic stress. Dr. Jungbluth also serves as an outside clinical consultant for the Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress (HCSATS) and provides supervision and consultation to trainees and staff regarding treatment for post-traumatic stress at the Seattle Children’s Hospital.
